Dr. Tippin Davis joined the company in 2011 and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer where she oversees new clinical product development pipelines as well as clinical research collaborations, including the AmbryShare exome data-sharing project. During her years with the company, Dr. Tippin Davis has served as a Laboratory Technical Director and held many roles including overseeing clinical reporting operations for cancer, cardio, and general genetics, clinical laboratory testing and validations, and served as a member of the diagnostic exome analysis and novel gene discovery team. She received a B.S. in biological sciences and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Southern California as an NIH-NIA fellowship to research defects in DNA replication and repair leading to human disease. She completed her post-doctoral training as an NIH Fellow in Clinical Molecular Genetics at the University of California, Los Angeles/Cedars Sinai Medical Center and is certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics. Prior to joining Ambry, Dr. Tippin Davis was on the faculty at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in the Division of Medical Genetics where her research focused on the development of novel molecular therapeutics for rare-genetic disorders, including lysosomal storage diseases and inherited forms of colon cancer. Dr. Tippin Davis is a Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist in the state of California and currently holds a COQ in the state of New York.
