Abstract

Since the discovery of the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes, multiple predisposition genes have been identified and included on genetic testing panels for breast cancer (1,2). In fact, breast cancer is now recognized as a heterogeneous disease with a complex genetic architecture (3,4).
