Participants will learn how genetic counselors at a large midwestern hospital (TriHealth) utilize integration in the EHR to streamline workflows and improve patient care. Topics will include: use of a cancer risk assessment to better identify high-risk patients, integrating genetic testing orders to save time and make finding results easier, use of genomic indicators to better track patient outcomes, and a step-by-step guide of how to implement these programs at your institution.

Chelsea Menke

CARE Program Project Specialist

Chelsea Menke is the CARE Program Project Specialist and a cancer genetic counselor at TriHealth in Cincinnati, OH. She received her Master of Science in Medical Genetics from the University of Cincinnati in 2019 and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Miami University in 2013. Chelsea has spent her career specializing in oncology genetic counseling. Her professional interests include improving access to genetic testing, providing education about genetic counseling/testing to providers and the general public, and implementing genomic medicine tools into care delivery.
