Genomic Science Liaison - Rare Disease Team at Ambry Genetics

Victoria joined Ambry Genetics in 2023 as a Genomic Science Liaison for the Rare Disease team. In her role, she educates healthcare providers about genetic testing and genomic medicine, and aims to advance access, equity, and quality of genetics services. Prior to joining Ambry, Victoria was a research genetic counselor at Boston Children's Hospital, for a study that develops genomically targeted therapies for children with rare neurological diseases. She received her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling degree from Boston University, and is certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling.

Brian Schoenfeld has an undergraduate degree from the State University New York at Albany. After graduating he spent several years in the corporate world, he then decided to change professions to pursue a career in the Life Sciences. For over eight years, Brian worked in basic science research, using behavioral assays in animal models to elucidate the mechanism of inherited neurological disorders such as Fragile X Syndrome and early on-set Alzheimer's. After working in labs at the University of Pennsylvania and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, he decided that Genetic Counseling was his calling. He graduated from the Genetic Counseling program at Arcadia and began working for Ambry in 2015. Brian is a board-certified genetic counselor and a licensed GC in the state of NJ. He has been a co-author on several peer-reviewed and well cited articles, makes excellent pancakes and is the proud father of Emma and Juliette.
