Level of Instruction: Intermediate
In this presentation, the current status of pancreatic incidence and mortality will be reviewed. The impact of germline testing on understanding pancreatic cancer risk will be discussed, along with the following areas of research advances: Biomarker testing,
AI and imaging, Identification of missing heritability using long read sequencing and Multi-modal data integration for risk calculation .
Three learning objectives:
- Describe the current status of pancreatic cancer incidence and mortality in the US.
- Discuss the impact of germline genetic testing on understanding pancreatic cancer risk, and the role of long read sequencing in advancing knowledge about heritability of pancreatic cancer.
- Describe the role of imaging and biomarker testing in pancreatic cancer early detection.
Only the live session qualifies for CEUs but, when possible, we host the recordings on our website and NSGC recommends participants to use their personal email instead of work email addresses to ensure they receive their CEU certificates.
